How do you get the smaller accessories to stand up in all that Buffalo Snow?

I stick 3/4" tacks to the bottom of the accessories using hot melt glue. Put the glue gun on high heat, put a small dab of glue on the head of the tack, and press it firmly against the bottom of the accessory while the glue is still hot. Depending on the size of the accessory, I may put multiple tacks on it. When the accessories are added to the displays I push the tacks into the foam the displays are mounted on to keep them in place (and vertical).

If I want to take the tacks off later, I just (carefully!) snap them off. So far I've not had any problems getting them off and haven't broken any accessories in the process. I take my displays down each February. To avoid having to take all the tacks off the accessories and put them on again the following November, I lay all the accessories on top of the Buffalo Snow after I've removed all the larger pieces, trees, etc., wrap the whole display in plastic trash bags, and store it flat on the rafters above the garage. It save a lot of time and effort.
